Union Church is an inter-denominational community, and all those who love the Lord and are willing to submit to Him and live by His Word, are welcome, regardless of their denominational background.

We truly believe that the gathering of various cultures and traditions, within the Christian faith, brings forth in our church the riches of God’s multifaceted grace, through His Son Jesus Christ.

Services last one to one and a half hours. Dress is casual, and jeans or shorts are no problem, but if you want to dress up, that’s ok too.

Union Church is located in a tropical ecological preserve along the Marapendi waterway
Av. Pref. Dulcidio Cardoso 4351 in Barra da Tijuca.

There is plenty of parking space, clean restrooms, and water fountains.

Services:
As you arrive you will receive a printed outline of the worship service. Worship begins with singing; the lyrics are shown on a screen; guitars and keyboard play along. Visitors have an opportunity to introduce themselves. The leader asks if there are needs for special prayers, then prays for each request. The offering plates are passed for those who wish to make donations. Pastor Lucas preaches approximately ½ hour and then we sing a traditional hymn. Afterwards everyone enjoys a time of visiting and making friends, with light snacks in the Fellowship Hall.
